Tremors~
I have been lurking around for months now reading and being educated. I have been paxil free since March 2004. Withdrawal was not too bad but I did have my fair share of it for only about 4 wks. In July of this year, I started to experience tremors, as if I am on a small plane and being shaken. I do not tremble on the outside, just on the inside. Some nights I am convinced that my husband is shaking the bed. It is driving me nuts not to mention it makes me panic and worry that there is something seriously wrong with me i.e. epilepsy.
Could this be more withdrawal after all these months? Does anyone else have this? My GP said it is just my nervous settling themselves after stress. It comes and goes at any given time. I wish it would just go and not come anymore. |

Re: Tremors~
It sounds like a stress reaction with nerves that are healing. What do you do when it happens? How long does it last?

Re: Tremors~
Welcome MadKate! Do you experience anything else with this? i.e. feels like things moving to quickly at this time or out of proportion in height/width?
My daughter experienced something similar sounding, the first thought was epilepsy as well however it was anxiety.

Re: Tremors~
It's certainly possible that it's a withdrawal symptom. People apparently have all sorts of delayed symptoms months or even years later. I have seen lots of people who have listed internal tremors as one of their symptoms. I just have external tremors.

Re: Tremors~
ive had that internal vibration on and off since i quit paxil. its less now than then....but i still get it. since february it had increased into external shaking and huge jolts and jerks *minor seizures*. Just recently i think the seizures have begun to really subside....but i still have the internal vibration.
I also have a jerk, twitch, twist of my right arm that happens pretty much constantly.....well...every couple minutes.....for well over 12 months now. like laurie said....i think its nervous system healing. trying connections. repairing synaptic connections. etc I think its healing or changing because the seizures seem to be fading in me so i do believe it will progress and change and eventually get better. |

Re: Tremors~
I have had anxiety\panic since childhood. It seems to go away for months, sometimes years, then returns with all new symptoms. B4 I just felt like I was going crazy in my head. Now I have the typical heart attack symptoms(actually went to the ER one night).
The tremors come without warning, but usually at night after I've been asleep about 20 mins then I feel like someone is shaking my brain. Latley they are there in the day as well. Like I drank 100 cups of coffee and I don't drink any. They are always worse around pms time. Really thought I was out of the woods after all this time. My GP doesn't believe in withdrawl, I think he needs a good dose of 20mg LOL! Thanks for your support guys! |
