do you sweat in withdrawal???
anoither question, boy im getting good at asking lately lol i have noticed in withdrawal that i dont sweat properly,i can be really hot but dont break into a sweat,so it would answer why when we come into contact with toxins and viruses our bodies cannot sweat them out,and i get burning skin and explosive runs which i think is toxins coming to the surface of the skin ,not being able to sweat them out and my body trying to get rid of them through the explosive runs. Its funny too while on seroxat we sweat buckets.I have flu at the moment but seem unable to sweat it out like normal peeps so the toxins are having a big impact.Antone else noticed that they dont sweat???

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
I have this every other day, Jo. It´s part of my strange every other day wd syndrome, day 1 one no sweat at all ánd sometimes I´m ice cold and sometimes very hot on these days, day two I sweat very heavily all the time and can´t go out or be around people because of it.

Zoloft later increased to 75 mg. 2004 tapered Zoloft too quickly after sudden onset of muscle stiffness and extreme restlessness on full dose. Severe and prolonged WD problem with a long list of symptoms. Considerable mental but very little physical improvement so far. Last Zoloft dose April 18 2004. |

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
Hot flashes with sweat, hot flashses without sweat, cold chils with/without sweat. Last night was the "fever" feeling, but no sweating. It seems that I get fever rather easily now when my blood pressure goes up from anger, frustration, or a combination with sadness.
None of it makes sense. |

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
that is exactly why im looking into the far infrared saunas, joanne!
i have times when i sweat so badly that my whole body is soaked. then there are times when there is no sweat at all and i end up feeling sick from it. the FIR saunas are supposed to make you produce 3 times the sweat volume and ionically breaks bonds between fat and toxins and releases them into sweat from the subcutaneous fat layer. |

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
I drink plenty of water everyday. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night drenched is sweat. I can be either cold or hot. Some nights I wake up do dry there isn't enough moisture in my throat to keep me from coughing.

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
Ooooh, I was sweating buckets while on Effexor XR. Every little move made me break out in sweat and therefore was very limited in my activities on top of not being motivated. It has gone down quite a bit in the last few months. Yeah, it's all hormonal related I believe.

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
Come to think of it, I don't think I sweat as much since quitting Paxil. But that would be a very hard thing to gauge, as I tend to avoid any activities that are sweat inducing! I'm the lounge on the couch eating bon bons type.

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
I used to wake up with my shirt soaking wet. After I took the antibiotic my sweat smelled really wierd and really gross for a long time. You can take a hot bath in epsom salt to help pull toxins out of the skin, about 30 minutes max with water as hot as you can stand. Some detox programs recommend skin brushing which breaks away dead skin cells and helps open up pores. Always brush away from your heart.

After 5th withdrawal attempt, went into severe debilitating withdrawal, restarted Paxil in the ER which didn't work anymore. Taken off again quickly by a shrink, started on Lexapro. Body rejected all drugs except benzos. Currently off all drugs. I'd say I'm recovered. Yeah, I'd say so.

Re: do you sweat in withdrawal???
Hi there
From what I can gather this is normal. I actually thought with me it was purely menopausal symptoms, it I've read that perspiring and shivers is part and parcel of the many 'joys' of withdrawal! I find it helpful to have a fan on in my room at night and drink lots of fluids at all times. May we all soon be free of this vile drug. Kit |
