Should I be optimistic?
Today began very slowly and cautiously - opened one eye a crack, then both eyes, then sat up, then got up, and HELLO! the room wasn't spinning and my brain stem wasn't zapping. Thank you, powers that be! I had a good, energetic, productive day, and only a few mild whooshes. HOWEVER, I felt this good on Day 4 after stopping Paxil, and as you all know, I then rebounded into whooshing/zapping/dizzy/diarrhea hell for three days. Is there any predictable pattern to this? I am really afraid to be optimistic. One day at a time, I guess.
Patty S. Prescribed 10 mg Paxil in February 2000 for PMS. Increased to 20 mg Paxil in February 2003. Weaning 2.5 mg at a time since January 1, 2006. Paxil free since March 1, 2006. |

Re: Should I be optimistic?
I had to learn to enjoy my good days, but to keep in mind that bad ones would return. There was no predictable pattern for me really. I just learned to recognise things when they kept happening over and over.

Very bad w/d. 9 months later took 10 mg Paxil and my Xanax w/d dissapeared. On 20 mg by end. Pooped out on me. C/T then restarted it again after 3 days and big blow up. 6 months taper, never feeling much better. 2 1/2 years solid w/d then sporadic stuff for 5 years. Completely recovered! Drug free since June 2001. |

Re: Should I be optimistic?
ALWAYS BE OPTIMISTIC. ALWAYS LOOK AT THE POSITIVE IN EVERY SITUATION, NO MATTER HOW BAD. When you do this a postive aura comes over you and you begin to see good, feel, good, etc. It's just postive energy!!! If you had a great day celebrate and tell your self that there is more where that came from - don't worry about what "might" happen, instead engage in what IS happening - a great positve day. Cheers for you and your ongoing success!!!
