Back acne?

Did anyone get acne on their back? I am currently paxil free for the past week after 9 months of weaning off of 20 mg.When I first started to wean my face broke out in full blown cystic acne and i had never had skin problems before. When i got down to 10mg i started using nutritional supplements from the program Label Me Sane. They cleared up my skin 100% after 3 weeks of being on them but i had also stabilized at 10 mg for a month when i started the Labe Me Sane program. When i started to wean down again my back started to break out and just keeps getting worse but my face is completely clear. Even though it has been a week off my back is still continuing to get worse. Did this happen to anybody else, and did it clear up after some time?

Yes, and my back goes through phases, worse, then better, then worse again.

Have you ever had acne problems before?

Yes, I've struggled with acne since 8th grade and I'm almost 47 years old now.

WD really stirred up the acne, especially along my jawline and down the sides of my neck below my ears (places I never had problems with before), which many others here have experienced, as well.

Your right because now I also get acne behind my ears and sometimes I break out on my neck. I am just so afraid that this is going to last for years.

This is common in w/d and for most people, short lived. Search the site for acne.

Ok I will. Thank you so much. This just really sucks because all of my girlfreinds are talking about going to the beach soon and I would never go to the beach with my back like this and I love going to the beach!

I have that too, but I had it before, acupuncture HELPED A LOT on that

Really? I am a little scared of needles. Does it really help acne? I only have it on my spine. Isn't that weird? I feel like it is coming out from my spinal fluid because it is nowhere else on my back. Do you think that is possible? I just want it to go away. Has any body's cleared up 100%?

Margaret __________________ 6/97 Paxil 20 mg daily 1/06 -5/06 20 mg to 10, then 10 mg to 5 (NOT recommended!) 8/5/06 switched to liquid Paxil, 5 mg Slow taper with last dose on 8/18/07 Toprol XL 25 mg daily for cardiac arrhythmia Trazodone, 25 mg, tapered, last dose on 12/12/07 Tart cherry, Magnesium Citrate, Salmon oil, Glucosamine and MSM, Multivitamin w/iron Zinc (23 mg) & Echinacea lozenge - 1 daily Activia yogurt
