Another "Did you have this too?" question
If you read any of my posts from Feb. through April, I was the one who had non-stop, relentless, all-over body itching, rashes and hives. Guess what? For the most part, everything's gone. Believe me, I'm not being arrogant: I know it could come back at any time. But for now, I'm experiencing profound relief and I'm PROFOUNDLY grateful!
My only question is, did anyone suffer hair loss and scalp problems (particularly itchiness)? Hair falls out faster than I can pick it up off the pillow, the floors, everything. And it itches and itches! It seems like withdrawal is not happy until it has affected literally every part of your psyche AND your body. Thanks to all of you for holding my hand through these months of pure, undiluted hell.

Oh girlfriend....there's been lots of discussion about this! I'm ready to either join Hair Club or get a wig! My hair is noticibly thin on top, and I'm not happy about it!

Oh yes. I've been losing hair like crazy. There is more hair around my apartment than there is on my head. I've always had thick hair so this is very weird for me. Another lovely gift of withdrawal

Re: Another "Did you have this too?" question
I started to lose hair a few months of the meds. I went to the doctor and my ferritin was deficient and was blamed. I have never been deficient before, always in the low end of normal. Get it checked out. I took iron for 2 months before it slowed. Its been a year and my level is now 91 so am hoping for some regrowth. I took ferrogradumet iron supplements for a year to get my levels up. You need 70 for triggering regrowth apparently and then it can take up to 6 months for the hair to go into a growing cycle.

Re: Another "Did you have this too?" question
Last night I washed my hair I was scratching it so hard when I put the shampoo on my scalp starting burning. My scalp is also very flaky not dandruff but the skin on my scalp is flaking off.

Re: Another "Did you have this too?" question
Ryan had considerable hair loss during withdrawal. Today, 3 years off, it's thick as could be again.

Re: Another "Did you have this too?" question
Well its called "Dragons Bones"..mostly if I try to break it down..its mostly high value calcium, magnesium and selenium from prehistoric bones..yeah thats right.. salvia..a type of sage..this I see helping the nervous system and a whole bunch of other names..if you want the formula I can post it..it works great especially if I compliment it with my magnesium and calcium later at night. The only downside is that it cannot be mixed with foods like ginger and citrus fruit which are considered "hot yang". Regards, Johnny |
