New and Getting Ready

Hello to all. I am new here and getting ready to begin my journey with getting off the Paxil. I have alot to say. I have been doing alot of research into these meds and withdrawl effects as well as side effects. I have also been doing alot more research into what caused me to begin the drug in the first place. I will begin a Journal here that will outline the past 6 years of my life overall and the role that Paxil has played. I have experience with Paxil withdrawl, as I have simply "quit" cold turkey in the past. I have also tried other SSRIs and what not to assist with Anxiety and the Depression it causes, as well as OCD behaviors. I currently take 30 mg of Paxil, although I have been on 40 mg in the past. I also take BusPar 15 mg twice a day and Xanax @ nighttime. I am also on Lipitor for High Cholesterol- which may or may not be related to the whole Paxil thing...

Paxil - began at 20mg in 2001, 80 mg by 2005, down to 40 mg in 4 months in 2007 , back up to 60mg in Sept. 08, beginning my new taper Jan 09. Currently at 50mg. Klonopin - began 0.5 mg in 2007, have been taking it 3 times a day. Buspar - began 10mg in 2008, went up to 15 mg, went up to 20 mg in Jan 09 - 3 times a day Supplements: currently none "The mind is like a parachute.. it only functions when open."
