Paxil and Pregnancy

Hi, I am new here and have tried for a long time to wean off Paxil in order to get pregnant safely. I even went on other meds, but none worked nearly as well for anxiety. The Dr. put me back on Paxil CR 12.5 which works well for me and told me the chances of something bad happening to my baby would be rare, but possible. I am not pregnant yet, but will be on Paxil no matter when I conceive. Am I making a horrible decision or could it be ok and I won't regret this choice?? My health gets really bad when I am not medicated and that would be worse for an unborn child.

Welcome, Monkey!

I don't know your situation, but here's a link I think you should read before making a decision. It's a sticky situation, to be sure and only you can make the choice.

Re: Paxil and Pregnancy

This is a tough question. Yes, the risk is low, but it's still a risk to be taken. How did you try to wean off of Paxil in the past?
