Severe Dry Mouth

Hello,

Yet another symptom has developed...severe dry mouth. I never had that while on Paxil nor in the early stages of w/d but now I do. It is terrible, I have to constantly have ice or water in my mouth and my throat is irritated too. Is this w/d again? Please tell me I am not alone with this one!

Noymal.. I would add..tingling, metallic sensations and numbness of the tongue, lips and sometimes face.... and yes it is important to drink lots of water, my acupuncturist insists that "cold water" is no good..so I drink lots of Rooibos Tea..up to 2 quarts a day

Regards, Johnny

Re: Severe Dry Mouth

Yeah my tongue feels really weird too....kind of "pasty". And foods don't taste right. I woke up at like 1 am and couldn't swallow b/c my throat and mouth were soooo dry. All day this has continued. What causes this?

Re: Severe Dry Mouth

Oh Jenny I was just complaining about this today. I was walking and my mouth was so dry, I had to peel my tongue from the roof of my mouth because it kind of dried up and got stuck there.

I never had this problem ...ever...in my life!!!! I drink ice water all the time because of it. Makes my mouth feel burned.

Re: Severe Dry Mouth

water and lots of it is very good for the body to clean these toxins. our mouths are dry because our nervous system has been shaken up, touched, unbalanced, and very sickly. our body needs lots or powerful nutrients and water to strengthen the nervous system.

It's not. If you read antidepressant side effect labels, dry mouth is a common side effect. It's typical that these things will get worse once off, like everything else does. If it were Sjorgrens, every orifice of your body would be dried out as well..not just your mouth.

ROLMAO ..you doctor is a beaute..I think he needs to try these drugs..then he can use his"imagination" for something more artistic..his level of denial about SSRI's is truly mind boggling..is his head made out of wood..was he an "Engineer" before this or is he just trying to be an idiot?

Maybe you could suggest an illness each time you come up with a new symptom.

Re: Severe Dry Mouth

I don't understand why these symptoms just keep popping up out if nowhere!

Re: Severe Dry Mouth

It is just very scary. I would think that if I was going to have symptoms then I would have them along with all of my other w/d symptoms in the beginning. It just came out of nowhere.
