Irritable
Back up to 20mg (temporarily I hope!!!) for 7 days. The 'fog' has lifted a but for the last 2 days I have been feeling very very tense and irritable. Like I'm very very angry - except I'm not if that makes any sense. Totally irrational.
Have others encountered this when increasing dose again or even changing dose. How did you cope with it. I'm really sorry that I'm posting so many questions at the moment - it really helps me to write things down. I promise when I start to feel better I'll post less questions and more help for others!! |

yes i was/am very irritable. i nit pick like crazy. all these stupid little things... how people drive, how peopel do things... and i'm really snappy and rude to my fiance (nice eh?) i don't think he can do anythign "right" right now. i'm just way unreasonable. yoga/therapy have really been helping.
what your experiencing is really common according to what i've read ont he boards... just general inability to control emotions. try to stay relaxed/calm and take time for yourself, take hot baths, and walks. m. |

remedy for irritability
Hi, here's what's helped me really put an end to irritability - I'm off paxil for almost 7 months now, and it's only recently that I've been able to release the irritable feelings: I take 500mg of Milk Thistle morning and evening, and a 50mg B-Complex in the morning. I'm here to tell you, this works, and soon irritability will be a thing of the past. I read in "Addiction-Free Naturally" that irritability is just another form of rage/anger. The Milk Thistle is cleansing for the liver, which helps alleviate these symptoms. Good luck.

Thankyou
Thankyou for your replies - I've started doing relaxation exercises 2x a day so hoping that will help.
I'm really interested to hear about all the alternative remedies. I'll definately be trying the milk thistle when I go back to withdrawal again. I read somewhere else Joyful Angel that you went back onto 10mg when you had a relapse with anxiety. Was this your original dose? How long did it take to kick in? I'm just interested because although my original dose was 30mgs both times I've tried to withdraw i've been absolutely fine on 10mg but then relapsed on less than that and ended up back at a higher dose. I'm wondering if (and I hope it doesn't happen) - if I find myself in the same situation again I should only go back up to 10 and then give myself longer for it to kick in. By the way - at my last attempt to withdraw I was completely off seroxat/paxil for a month before I crashed down. I decided I couldn't cope and went back on to 10mg. Within 2 days I felt better and when I saw my doctor a few days later she said ' theres no way only 10mg will be doing anything - you must be fine - stop taking it'. I didn't know about withdrawal probs at the time so I did ...... and went rapidly down hill. This time my crash happened at 5mg and going back up to 10 didn't have any effect - njo improvement. I'm worried now that I'm 'even more' addicted than I was before if that makes sense? Anyway I don't suppose there's anything I can do about that - just got the try again. Sorry - didn't mean this note to be so long. Hope you're all ok. |

Hi,
I can feel the confusion you´re in! I hope you feel better. One thing I can tell you is that 10mg DOES make a difference, it´s the highest dose I´ve ever taken and it was enough for me. Diana |
