What to do? -'numbness'

Hi everyone. Sorry - yet another question.

Been back 15mg then 20 for almost 3 weeks now (20 for almost 2 weeks).

Panic seem to have subsided but now feel low. Sort of numb really - no feelings. Not sure what to do.

Last time withdrawal failed I ended up back at 30mgs and slowly reduced when felt ok.
But would 30 make the numbness worse.

I've got 2 young children so I need to be ok to look after them.
I know a lot of people complain about feeling this 'nothingness' on paxil but has anyone else had this numbness initially and then it has worn off after a while?
I'd much rather not increase if possible but I've come to the conclusion that the most important thing is to feel well again - and then start the battle to withdraw again.

wait a little

Kizzie, if you are functioning OK, then I would stick it out for another week or two. It can take four weeks to fully feel the effects and to adjust to the meds, and you've only been at 20 for less than 2. The numbness is something I do feel myself as I adjust, and it goes away for me at around the four week mark. Your discouragement may also be holding you down and your fear of it not working. Remember- it HAS worked before, it will work. Do other stuff to care for yourself, try to be busy, have some chocolate or a glass of wine or whatever floats your boat, listen to your favorite music, take a walk... it all slowly adds up and eventually you feel better. I find that once I'm back on Paxil, the more I try to pretend I'm already feeling better and do as much of my normal stuff as I can, the faster that yucky part goes. It takes incredible patience- I know so well how the time drags out when you feel lousy, and a week sounds like a year. But you can do it and you'll be OK. Hope to be hearing soon that you're feeling better-
Beth

Thankyou

Beth - thanks so much for your reply. It's always reassuring to hear that someone has gone through similar stages.
I'm going to try and stick at 20 - although I'm not against taking 25 just to get back to normal.
I'm trying to see it all as a stage in my withdrawal (even if it is a backwards stage at the moment!)
Thanks again!
