How long before celexa cut hits?

Hi all

I am not cutting every three weeks and made my last cut about 10 days ago. Was not much worse until yesterday, and today I feel like I've been hit by a freight train.

Am wondering how long it usually takes for a cut from celexa/citalopram to hit the system, and how long before improvement again.

Thanks.

Luke

Re: How long before celexa cut hits?

It's different for everyone. It can be anywhere from three days to a month out. This is why it's so important to wait at least 3-6 weeks between cuts.

No one can tell you how long till you see improvement, especially if a rapid taper starts to catch up. Only you can determine when you feel well enough to taper again.

Re: How long before celexa cut hits?

Thanks LC I really appreciate it.

Do you promote the idea that the next cut should be on a regular date ie always say 3 wks later? Or that each gap should be different depending how we feel?

Re: How long before celexa cut hits?

You should cut when you're feeling stable enough. Three weeks is minimum, regardless, because as you can see, it can catch up to you in that time. But, if you're not feeling ready at three weeks, then you wait longer.

Throw the calendar out the window during this time.
