My zoloft story
I started taking Zoloft about 9 months ago. It worked wonderfully for my anxiety.
Right around Christmas 2010, I went to get my refill and it was a different generic. I thought nothing of it and took my normal 50mg dose as usual. Four hours later I began to have jitters, anxiety, and nervousness. I thought it might just be me so the next night I took the same. Four hours later I got severe jitters, anxiety and nervousness... could NOT sleep. I found another pharmacy that had my original generic, got it and without hesitation took the normal 50mg dose. After four hours it did the same. I went on like this for 5 days. Then thought maybe taking the other generic messed me up in some way. I went off for two days and my symptoms cleared up. After withdrawal started, I started the med back at 25mg. Did the same thing but, after 3 or 4 days seemed to get better, not 100% but, better. I started getting some withdrawal effects and decided to go back to the 50mg thinking maybe my body just needed to readjust. I took the 50mg and OH MY GOODNESS!!!! It was BAD. The shaking, trembling, nervousness, and anxiety hit me full speed ahead. It even made me throw up. I thought maybe its just the generic so I went in and got some name brand. i took the name brand, it wasn't as bad as the generic but was getting close. I took two doses and my legs are creepy crawly feeling. I went to the Dr and explained my symptoms and he advised that I go off the Zoloft. My senses are heightened. The least little noise makes my whole body jump. Very jumpy and get irritated easily. Without the zoloft I begine to feel better but the withdrawals set in and makes things worse. I started my lower dose today. Not sure how much I actually took since I had to quarter a 100mg tab. I am jittery and shaky since a few hours after taking it. Tomorrow, I'll be picking up my 50mg tabs that I'll be breaking in half. This is scary but then again living the way that I have for the past several weeks is pretty scary as well. Thanks for listening. God Bless You All!!!! Jess P.S. When I mention nervousness and jitters its not like a "I'm a little nervous and shaky" thing. This is trembling, shaking, uncontrollably. My legs feel like something is crawling around inside.

Re: My zoloft story
Search out some of my adverse reaction posts if you are bored. I had a more immediate reaction (as in first dose)...but I could (totally fine now) relate 100 percent to the symptoms you are experiencing. I also vomited after my initial reaction a few times. You are in hell right now, but you will make it through and be fine! Zoloft, while still could give you trouble, is one of the "milder" SSRIs in terms of WD symptoms as well.
