Is your nose stuffy all night?

I just mentioned this in poxyroxy's journal but thought I'd post here too so more people might see it.

In the beginning, Paxil caused me to have a constant stuffy nose. When I layed down in bed at night it would clog up completely. I would toss and turn trying to get one side to clear. Well, I've found great relief in Olbas Oil. You can order it through Amazon. I just sprinkle a few drops on a folded paper towel and place it by my bed. It keeps my nose clear all night. -It's quite strong and the bedroom always has a nice fresh smell.

I do this every night, even though my sinuses seemed to clear after dropping below 10 mgs. I think my brain now associates the smell with sleep. As soon as I walk in there ard get that aroma I start to feel more relaxed.

On the bottle it states that it can also be used to massage sore muscles, though I haven't tried it. I know a number of people here are having muscle soreness.

Hope this helps someone. It beats adding yet more pills to our problems.

My nose is often stuffy - thank you crappy sinuses and crappy humidity. I'm a big fan of nasal rinses.

My hubby's a fan of those too. They've really helped him. I just can't handle water up my nose.

Laurie, I was looking at some of your early posts yesterday. It was so encouraging to see some of what you went through and now you are doing so well! Did you keep a journal here at all? I'd love to read it.

Thank you for posting this - sounds really useful, not just for the stuffy night noses but for the sleep-association effect, think I might try this

After being on Effexor about a year I started having major sinus issues. My mose,sisuses,and ears would plug up constantly. It would get much worse in the evenings. It would be awful in the morning and by noon it would subside only to get worse again in the evening.

Now it all makes sense with Effexor's half life.

No, we didn't add the journals forum till just about a year or so ago.

My nose is soooo stuffy and most of all runny

The first 2 nights I was having dry mouth and now my nose! My ears keep popping as well which is annoying!
