Pregnancy and Paxil
I have noticed that the desire to have babies has come up a couple of times lately and I found this resource. I am only sharing this - not giving any opinion one way or another. Of course talk to your doctor. Be well

Re: Pregnancy and Paxil
It would be interesting to know where this organization gets there funding. I would take the info with a grain of salt.

IMO; this is just a PR campaign, disguised as unbiased information.

This group is a research registry organization pretty much working for the pharmaceutical industry and the statements made in that article are SO vague, it really says nothing. The FDA classifies Paxil as a class D drug, which is warning to not use in pregnancy. This warning came after looking at all of the information available. The FDA doesn't do warnings lightly, so I'd take their information over a group that is funded by pharma to do "studies". The risk factor has always been low, but it's there and woman have the right to know that information. Current research is extremely limited due to the fact that few would be part of a study that could potentially put their unborn child at risk.

Re: Pregnancy and Paxil
I desperately want children, but it will just have to wait until I'm off paxil. The evidence they have shown is enough for me. I would feel guilty forever if my child ended up with a birth defect or health issues due to me taking paxil while pregnant. I just can't do it... even though it would sure be the easier path for me!
