Any one saw their math/logical skills and IQ bounce back
All,
I am frustrated and planning to stop the meds... May be taper alternate days and then every two days, three days etc...giving 4 weeks for each taper... I have been doing major blunders at job...if i lose this job then i wont have insurance and cant afford medication as well... Any one saw their math/science skills and IQ bounce back? Thanks

Re: Any one saw their math/logical skills and IQ bounce back
This is such a complicated question. I don't feel as if my IQ or math skills ever went away, they just became harder to access. I could still solve problems as complex as before, it just took longer because of the fatigue and brainfog. It is like the brainfog blocks me from accessing higher level thinking skills.

Re: Any one saw their math/logical skills and IQ bounce back
Since I started my taper my head has been clearer and I can access my skill set a lot more easily. I was never any good at math so can't tell it that is coming back.
It is not a good idea to skip doses, every other day etc. It will really screw with our brain, causing you to take longer to normalize. Hang tight on the job front.

Re: Any one saw their math/logical skills and IQ bounce back
I noticed that I was much more eloquent when I was off Paxil, and that my speech became more difficult after I reinstated. My reasoning skills followed a similar pattern.

Re: Any one saw their math/logical skills and IQ bounce back
I am less eloquent because I have a hard time recalling words and thinking quickly. I have trouble with sentence structuring especially.

I'm really having problems socially as well, just reall hard to joke around and think quickly, kind of led me to isolate myself.
