JessG-- If necessary you could even make your own capsules, you can get empty ones at a lot of health food stores or Amazon.com or ebay. I did that for Monica when she had trouble swallowing a big spoon full of powder.

Ok just a little update. I had a ultrasound done yesterday morning and my doctor called me today saying that he needed to see me regarding the results. I am actually a bit scared cause that was fast turn around time for the results, which makes me believe there must be something wrong. So I have tapering to deal with, my recent positive lyme diagnosis and now this. Oy Vey!!

Another update, so the ultrasound showed I had a large polyp in my uterus and will need to be put under to get it out. I am worried about being put under. I have this irrational fear that they will put me under and I will not be fully alseep and I will feel everything. (Gosh dam you Hayden christensen and your movie AWAKE!) I'll never know, considering how much SSRI's have screwed with our brains and rewired everything! I've never been put under for anything, so should i be worried? Will it hurt???

It's natural to be afraid of such a thing. But, I've been put under three times and I promise, you won't feel a dang thing and it'll be the best sleep you've ever had!

Let me try to put it in perspective....I've taken care of surgical patients for 30 years..never had one feel anything during surgery. You'll be fine.

hey good luck on your surgery, pretty weird but when i was tapering of paxil..i started having problems with my cycle also, which turned out to be several uterine polyps after many ultra sounds, and also developed ovarian cyst. I had surgery and was nervous also but it was nothing took about 30mins all together and didnt feel a thing you'll be fine.

Well isn't that strange. It's either a coincidence or fact that the meds do effect the endocrine system and our hormones. I have to admit, although I am very scared I am also a little excited to be put asleep artificially and wake up in a strange office LOL.

Had my procedure done and I was practically skipping my way into the surgery room. No literally, I was skipping cause I was excited to get this alien out of my body and hopefully resume the normal menstrual periods I use to have. People must have thought I was nuts.

Well all was dandy until they stuck the IV needle in my hand and put the oxygen mask over my face. At that point I felt a mini attack coming on but I started to breathe deeper and tell myself I'll be out in no time. I remember telling the nurse my hand was burning and I guess I fell asleep before she could even answer me. I remember dreaming and then I woke up to them pulling a tube out of my mouth and my throat hurting. I must have had trouble breathing and they had to tube me!! That was scary but all in all it was a good experience. Much easier then I anticipated!
