Once again......new members read this please!

Do NOT use a name that can identify you, do NOT use identifying information that you do not want made public....DO NOT post if you don't want your posts on the internet. Do NOT request that your account be deleted and ALL your posts removed.

When you post for information members take time to respond and to delete that information isn't fair to those who have taken that time.

We're getting more and more requests for "please delete my thread, post, name mentioned in post..etc" because the information is out on the net. Yes folks, this IS a public message board and your "public" information(this does not include registration emails) can be found with a Google search.

Think before you post and if you have signed up with a name you want changed, pm me or Lcrawford67 for a name change.

Once again....I will no longer delete posts/threads due to second thoughts. It's becoming a daily occurrence and takes up valuable time.

And even with this thread, I'm still getting people requesting all their posts be removed. :sigh:

I'm a privacy freak as anyone here can attest to, but I would never ask to remove one single post, because they journal my struggles, and hopefully they will help someone else....and all the other "lounge posts" posts are testaments to the friendships I've built over the years.

This place may have very well saved my life.

Re: Once again......new members read this please!

I am a newbie and I appreciate this regulation. How frustrating it would be to try to find a post that was helpful and now it's gone. I don't have a great fear of exposure. I am a victim of a merciless marketing campaign that pushed a dangerous, life-threatening and life-altering drug on me. The more I find out through my research it seems like everybody is on an SSRI and/or knows of 4 or 5 people on it. No one talks about it because they don't want to be labeled as mentally ill.

I got put on Paxil because I complained of PMS and I trusted my doctor. You will never get a request for a retraction from me. Nice to meet you all!

And once again...."please delete all my posts"(which were in the hundreds). Just a reminder....we WILL NOT delete posts if someone decides to leave the site. We will delete accounts.

Posts made even after account deletion will be visible on a google search(under a screenname, which should not be identifying) for months after the account is deleted.

It always amazes me that people don't stop to think of consequences before doing something. If you do it, you reap what you sow. Don't blame someone else. And don't expect others to clean up your mess.

Re: Once again......new members read this please!

had shared some private things here but I don’t and won’t expect them to be deleted after I am feeling better. I think that part of the healing is sharing and saying some things that you can't say outside of this forum. I posted my reasons to quit Paxil and I shared some very disturbing events that were hurting me and taking me down, after I empty my soul I was able to analyze the whole thing and I discovered that I was blaming myself for everything (I was to blame for some things but other people were also to blame, I was not the sole responsible), that allowed me to grow and to heal. In the end, if you want to get better you have to open up, and erasing your posts is a way of closing down.
