Sexual dysfunction

I was on Paxil for 10 years, but spent the last 3 years on 5mg. In July 2011 I came down to 2.5mg and after 6 months of agonizingly slow tapering (from 2.5mg to 0.9mg) I stopped on March 22nd 2012. So it's been 2 1/2 months clean. But I still have major sexual dysfunction: weak erections, totally numb penis (worst symptom), hardly ejaculate anything, no morning erections etc. After coming on here I convinced myself it was all PSSD.

But I've since learnt about internet porn/ excessive masturbation and how this can produce similar symptoms. During my time on Paxil (prescribed for social anxiety) I spent a hell of a lot of time alone and masturbated over internet pornography almost daily (probably as a substitute for real life). According to Gary Wilson this, like Paxil, can damage dopamine receptors and leave the penis numb. So now I don't know what to think. Is it excessive masturbation/ porn, is it the pills...or is my sexual dysfunction psychological- a result of isolation/ detachment from real people? Or is it something entirely different? Or is it all of them?

I really buy into the whole dopamine theory as the last time I tried to quit (5 years ago) I suffered horrific akathisia, which I now discover is caused by low dopamine.

Re: Sexual dysfunction

100% the withdrawl my friend, it can last quite a few months, so be patient dont freak yourself out reading stuff about internet porn, if that were true 95% of the western world would have numb willies!
