Paxil/Cancelled My Appointment

Hi all,

It's me again. Well last night after doing tons of research on Paxil and other antidepressants I have decided to cancel my Med. Evaluation appointment.

I was going to get another Med. Eval done to see if I could go on another antidepressant to help me get of this paxil.

I think more chemicals in my brain will only screw me up worst. Being that I am on less then a teaspoon of liquid paxil (I am on 3/4 for a month) I decided to just keep weening from there.

The problem is I have the depressive blues type withdrawl going on...It has been that way for me for a month...I just pray that it doesn't get worst...

My supervisor and employees have all noticed a signifcant change in me and tell me I am no longer my happy self....They can see I am depressed. I try not to show it as a force myself to smile...Right now it feels like I am so down that I can't feel happiness at all....

I keep telling myself this is just the withdrawl thing I am going through...The saddest thing about this is NO doctor or Med Eval. Pshcyotherapist can help with what we are all going through...

I am glad I found this bored as this bored will be my only encouragement in keep up with my weening...

I am soo close to almost getting of this drug, but it is soooo tuff....3/4 of a teaspoon and I just can't seem to surpass it at least to another 2.5 mg drop..UGH!!!!

Thanks for listening Kalo!!!

Hi Kalo
I think that is a really wise decision. Withdrawal sucks. But i dont think another chemical is going to make that easier. Paxil has the really yucky withdrawal symptoms. adding another does not change the paxil thing.

Im kind of blusey today. *kind of...sheesh!* i was majorly down this morning when i woke up. I downed a couple fish oil gels with breakfast and i seem to be picking up some. I also took an extra magnesium after breakfast too.

On saturday we marched in a parade with the Democrats. We used food coloring to paint my white dog RED WHITE AND BLUE! like a flag. she marched with us. Today she got her bath to remove the color. Nothing like givin' a huge squirming dog a bath to pick up your mood. While i can still feel the blues im doing a bit better.

my point....add the fish oil...it helps. Add magnesium....it helps. And go get soaking wet with a squirming dog. it helps. or kiss a loved one. or watch a really silly movie.
But hang in there. you are doing a good thing. keep on track with it.

much love to you
Beverly

yeah if you're not taking magnesium or getting the foods that have it.. enough to give you at least 400mg per day.. then you may be deficient.. It's a great calming supplement as well. It's also dirt cheap.

Scott27, this is true...I will look into buy mag, and fish oil gel pills at the health store...

Ya know what really makes me angry is my supervisor just asked me if I had kept my appointment with the med. eval. I told her I decieded to cancel and she gave me this frown look...

She believes in doctors well guess what? I don't anymore..All this med. evaluator would do is put me on another anti depressant....

What is it with people that they can't understand that these drugs are BAD and on top of that if...She keeps telling me that it's my illness that is making me depressed...

I ask one question 8 years ago when I first joined this company I was NEVER depressed until 2 years ago....Stuff had happened and I lost it and was put on the WORST drug immaginable...
