Allergies, Fatigue & Paxil Withdrawal
I have been having significant problems with fatigue so I went to my doctor at a clinic that specializes in cronic health conditions. My blood tests show that there is problems with my thyroid reverse t3 and cortizol levels. The doctor thinks my allergies are at the root of the problem and I am doing more allergy testing.
For now, she wants me to take a prescription med (hydrocort) and supplements. One of the supplements is B vitamins, which I have had anxiety issues with during paxil withdrawal. Are there any potential problems with my taking hydrocort? Will it affect my paxil withdrawal? Also, is there any way to get more b vitamins without causing anxiety problems? Thanks for your help!

Re: Allergies, Fatigue & Paxil Withdrawal
Hydrocort, in the US, is a topical cream and if that's what you're talking about, there shouldn't be any problems.
Not all B vitamins are stimulating and I'm betting she's prescribing B12, which also should be just fine. I'd ask her, just to be sure.

Re: Allergies, Fatigue & Paxil Withdrawal
The hydrocort is a tablet, not a cream.
The B vitamins she wants me to take is B complex with all the different B's.

Re: Allergies, Fatigue & Paxil Withdrawal
Instead of a prescription, if she believes it's allergies, why not take an OTC? Allegra is now OTC and works very well and I, personally, never had a problem with it. Also, what about a non steroid nasal spray, like Patanase? I'm just making these suggestions, if you're looking for other options than a prescription pill.
Here are a couple links listing foods high in B vitamins, if you're hesitant about the supplement: http://www.healthaliciousness.com/ar...itamin-B12.php http://food.qandas.com/healthy-recip...vitamin-b.html
