Vitamin B6 and akathisia.

I read a few studies and anecdotal reports that vitamin B6 may help akathisia symptoms. So I decided to give it a go.

About 20-30 minutes after taking 50mg my muscles relaxed and the akathisia was almost completely gone! The only problem was it made me slightly sedated.

I tried taking 12.5mg, 25mg and 50mg in the evening to try and prevent morning akathisia, however, the effect didn't last that long.

Next I'm going to try 25mg in the morning to see if it clears the akathisia without too much sedation.

If you decide to give it a go, remember people can react badly to vitamins and other supplements in w/d, so try a small dose first to see how it affects you.

Re: Vitamin B6 and akathisia.

I seem to have developed tolerance to the B6. The usual dose (50mg) doesn't help, it doesn't even make me drowsy anymore.
