What an inspirational Man!!!

My wife and I watched primetime live last night and were absolutely 100% awestruck and inspired by a story on Ronan Tynan, (visit his Web site at http://www.ronantynan.net)....

I, for one had never heard of him, but his story is amazing, to watch and hear him talk was life changing....born with two deformed legs, now amputated, Ronan did not let that stop him and in his short 44 years on this planet, he has managed to become a doctor, a world class athlete and a world class tenor.....did anyone else see this show....

It certainly helped me re-dsicover that internal feeling I once had...nothing can stop you once you have put yuor whole being into it.....if someone says you can't, the hell with them go out and get it....what an amazing human being. On the show last night he was full of vim and vigar, would not acknowledge the words can't, does not acknowledge negatvity.....I hope that more people on this site check out his story.

I watched, too. I almost didn't because I sometimes get depressed watching how some people overcome such obstacles, and I have trouble getting out of bed.
They (all three stories) were so helpful though. I really was uplifted.

Now let's see if that can translate into positive action, eh?

Re: What an inspirational Man!!!

Gotta agree with you thereHomer. Everytime you think he's great for doing suchandsuch, he would come out with another one - like going to medical school. Just goes to show you what influence parents can have. But, even then, he had the good sense to decide he could do something and just not question it and get down to work.

And Dave, I thought I was the only one who thought something so stupid (not that I'm calling you stupid) as why watch something inspirational when I am challenged to navigate the day?

Really, seeing what that guy did, it's not easy to say no to doing everything you can to make a great life that you won't regret. Most of the hours of the day.

Re: What an inspirational Man!!!

that WAS a wonderful show!!! the segment about Ronan was GREAT!!! and then did you see the segment at the end about the woman with autism??!?!??!
That was AMAZING!!! how she learned from the animals and was able to develop things that aided the animals as well as in the long term finding ways to help herself and kids with autism!!!

It would be great to have that tape to show us all what we are truly capable of...it would definetly help those who are on the downswing of this hellish trip...

It changed my complete ooutlook...I am going out this week end to buy Ronan's CD....just listening to it will make me dig deeper, go farther, not give up etc....in fact he is now my computer wall paper for inspiration.....
