Brain Squeeze?????

This is a new one. I'm pretty freaked out. I was in the shower, reading a magazine article, when all of a sudden, I felt a tightening, starting from my right temple, which then spread across the upper portion of my face. It felt like my head was being squeezed. When it passed over my right eyeball, it felt like my eye might sink into my head. It lasted about two minutes, but now I feel nauseated and a bit dizzy. I'm scared. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm due for another MRI tomorrow, so I know my anxiety levels are high.

I got those Shea. They were horrible and scary in the beginning. At the end they actually felt good and I would laugh. Weird!

Re: Brain Squeeze?????

A little better, this evening, but not good.

I have a detachable shower head, and since I tend to get dizzy, in the shower, I sit in the shower, with the shower head next to me.

Re: Brain Squeeze?????

I just started my third try at Paxil withdrawal on Friday. The first two days were okay. By Monday, I started to feel the buzzing in the side of my head and ear, the disorientation, irritability, nausea, and insomnia. I had my first brain squeeze last night. Had them the other times I tried to withdraw. I'm so happy that this forum is here.

Re: Brain Squeeze?????

that most definately sounds like a paxil related 'brain squeeze'

I got them all the time , months after withdrawal

I would sometimes get this sensation in my eyes like they were shaking , i think this was muslce spasms in the eyes, and probably related to the effect on the nervous system that paxil induces.... so wish i had never been on the drug...nobody should have to go through the trauma of the paxil experience....GSK have a lot to answer for....bastards.....
