generic paxil

Hi everyone. I've been a member for awhile but this is my first time posting. I am struggling with whether or not to try getting off. I tried once and the second day I drove my car into a wall. That was two years ago. Since then, I have been very careful not to mess with my meds.

I have a question about generic paxil. Is it the same dosage. i just got it today and i hope it will not be different. I've been on 30mgs of brand name and have been doing fine with my panic disorder.

it's chemically the same, it has to be.. the fillers may be a little different and some peopole swear they notice a difference.. all you can do is try it

thanxs. that makes me feel much better. do u know if they sell paxil in France? They must, but what is the name? Is it also chemically the same? I got a job there, but I am concerned about my meds again. I hate being controlled by this. I do have to say, though that paxil did help me tremendously. My panic was so bad i never would've made it through college, let alone held down a job. Thanks for your info :-)

Not sure about Paxil's name in France. I know in Britain and Holland it is Seroxat. Might be the same name in France as well.

It's just the name that is different, who knows why its that way? They gotta have 10 different names for one thing!

Tapering from 225 mg Effexor XR May 17, 2004. (Equiv. to 60 mg Paxil) Last taper Effexor XR Jan 17, 2006 down to ZERO. Currently protracted withdrawal. Sept 2006: 25 mg Doxepin. March 13/09: 10 mg Desipramine
