Re: Gastrointestinal Problems
I actually tried to lay down, but can't get to sleep for some reason. It'll pass, then hubby will get home and bring the noise level back to intolerable.
Speaking of, my kids are being wonderfully quiet. That probably means they're up to something, but as long they are quiet I don't care. ![]() |

More hugs Delyn.
I don't know how you young moms do it. Or moms with young kids, whatever the case. |

Count me in. The last 5 days, my "guts have been on far*." (*Okie for "fire".)
PS: Massachusetts comes from the language of the Algonquian Indians of the Massachusetts Bay area - translated roughly as: at or about the great hill.

Re: Gastrointestinal Problems
Hey Brannigan (totally off the subject), are you a Blazers fan?

Re: Gastrointestinal Problems
I second that, Beverly, about wishing you never took the drug. And I haven't been on it nearly as long as you have. I know that your symptoms will go away -- you must never stop believing that. I will pray for you and everyone who is suffering from this.

Re: Gastrointestinal Problems
Hey notdelynwell,
I used to be a big Blazer's fan. I probably haven't been to a game in about 5 years now, though. I think I liked the company more than the game. Now all my hockey buddies have been scattered to various Air Force bases.

Re: Gastrointestinal Problems
Ahhh, Brannigan. I've got a friend who's employed as a civilian at Tinker, aerospace engineer. Went to my first booster club convention there in 2001. Good people there.

Re: Gastrointestinal Problems
Sadly, I belong to this group, too. If you read my earlier post you know that I had a severe bout of vomiting on Friday, and still have spasms in my stomach and upper abdomen. Ironically, my IBS in the past has always been in the lower tract. I've ruled out food poisoning and viral infection. I'm sure it's related to w/l because I've had minor nausea ever since I started tapering. My research leads me to agree with Scott. This crap stores in the gut. It also stores in the muscles, and the GI tract is surrounded by muscle.
I have a theory. Just as Paxil and w/l cause involuntary muscle spasms and twitching, it stands to reason that it can have the same effect on abdominal muscles. Any comments?

Re: Gastrointestinal Problems
Deborah,
Hang in there, and remain mentally strong. More and more, I am learning how powerful the mind is. Get angry if you have to. But tell your body over and over again that it is healthy and strong. It always seemed to work for me -- I only hope that it works with Paxil tapering. Austin |
