Hi i'm new here too
I'm SOO relieved to have found this wonderful, supportive site where i don't feel so alone anymore... i've been on Aropax for 7yrs after the medicos failed to diagnose the symptoms of chronic tiredness and fatigue related to a sleep disorder (sleep apnea) for which was finally recognised by a fantastic GP (3yrs ago) whom immediately sent me off for a sleep study... my life has turned around for the better, and i've been weaning off 20mgs aropax since early june....and suffered all the shocking WD's mentioned by everyone who posts here. I'm now taking only quarter tab (thanks to pill cutter) and using the supplements suggested on this site... and exercise daily with my dog.
BUT i'm still quite apprehensive about life without meds, and wonder how i will cope???? i look foward to sharing future posts with everyone. |

Re: Hi i'm new here too
welcome welcome!!! You will cope!! It's not going to be easy -- in all probability...some are lucky! Spend some time on the Miscellanous (sp) board for laughs and giggles to help you get through. That part of the site is more just off the cuff funny stuff to keep us all laughing so we aren't all crying!
glad you found us!

Re: Hi i'm new here too
I think you will do just fine ... since you were not suffering from anxiety or depression before, it's very unlkely that you will suffer from them once you have recovered from withdrawal. Hang in there and one day everything will be normal again.
p.s. I was also tested for sleep apnea because my doctor would not listen to me when I told her my sleepiness was a side effect of Paxil ... that's the reason I quit taking it

Re: Hi i'm new here too
Welcome Lynette! I am also at the same dosage as you after dropping from 20mgs. This forum has helped my so much - I would never have tapered as slowly w/out the advise from these people and therby avoided some of the very worst symptoms so far. Keep visiting and you'll be glad you did.
