Not a good day.

I only slept about 5 hours last night (due to job stress), and now here I am at work and feeling pretty dizzy. Got the zshing noises in my head, too. I've really needed my sleep since I went down to 12.5; by 9:30 at night I've been so tired I could hardly stand up. Previously, I could easily get by on 5 or 6 hours of sleep for several days in a row without feeling exhausted. I've been telling myself that it's because my brain needs the down time in order to start healing itself. I don't know if it's true, but it makes me feel better about it.

Fortunately, I have a few sick days left. I can go home if it gets any worse. I really hope the Paxil Protest gets signifcant national publicity. Good luck to all of you who can attend!

Mark

Re: Not a good day.

Oh, and I forgot to take my magnesium last night, too. That may have something to do with it.

Re: Not a good day.

Try some Cammomile Tea and maybe a banana before bed. I am serious. I know it sounds unmanly but I bit the bullet and swtiched from coffee to tea myself.

Re: Not a good day.

The magnesium seems to help me sleep - but only when I take it!

ya gotta take 'em!

mag will certainly help you sleep. so will cammomile. warm milk

i found that during WD you just have to let the body sleep when it needs to.

Re: Not a good day.

Hang in there, there will be better days ahead. Just keep trying to rest and sleep , even if it doesn't happen. Your body does need it. Workplace stress is a real kicker, you know you have to get up and face it the next day and the next.

I've come to the conclusion that I really hate my job, and it has been a major part of my problem, I should have left years ago. But once I was on the paxil I was content with it for 5 more years. Now that I'm off the paxil, I'm struggling with my anxiety and my feelings about my job again. We just found out our contract is ending at the end of this year. It is stressful, losing a job, but I think it's a blessing in disguise. I'm really happy about it, I think fear and anxiety of leaving a job might have kept me there longer and I would have gotten really bad again.

Well sorry to ramble, just getting some of my feeling out I guess. I know all jobs have stress at times, even the good ones and the ones we like.

Re: Not a good day.

Yep, I made it through ok. I had to take it easy, though. Thanks for asking!
