how do i find a good holistic/alternative medicine person

Hi everyone,

I'm not even sure of the correct term for what I'm looking for. I want to go to a doctor who does things like acupuncture and will tell me what vitamins to take.......I live in Brooklyn, NY and work in NYC and figure there must be tonsa nd tons of these doctors...but I'm not sure how to find a good one or even where to look (I've searched a little on the internet but I'm not sure how to figure out who is good and who sint')....any suggestions or help would be much much much appreciated.

There's a Naturopathic Association in Canada; perhaps theres one in the states to? Good Place to start. Medical assocations are ususlly places where you can find out if there's been any complants against a particular DR.

here's a list for you to check out. These folks all do a technique that my naturopath uses that is incredibly powerful. its still not an overnight "cure" but has helped me immensely. they are not always "naturopaths" tho so check out what each does specifically by their listed web sites....or phoning them.

i gotta say that at first go...NMT is WEIRD!!! very different from anything you have ever done i can almost certainly say that! But the effect of the treatment is rapid and sometimes extreme....but the one really profound change was with allergies. both for me and my hubby. allergies gone in 1 treatment and never returned.
fibromyalgia caused severe parathesia. numbness in my hand. another treatment like NMT got it to go away when the GP wanted me to have neurosurgery!

Hoping to stabalize and then wean off this VERY VERY VERY slowly*** COMPLETELY DRUG FREE AS OF 6/28/06!!!!!!
