Normal w/d symptom or problem with generic Paxil?

Since switching to generic 10 mgs a couple of weeks ago, I've had two really bad days. Today was/is worse than the first time it happened: bad dizziness, waves with accompanying "zshing" noises, and irritability. I had to come home from work early. Most days are pretty good, although I've been getting a little dizzy about three hours before dose time. I didn't have any bad days like this when I was taking half of a 25 mg CR. My question is this: is it possible that some percentage of the generic pills are "duds" without adequate medicine in them? Or is this kind of inconsistency (occasional bad day) to be expected when reducing dose? If this is "normal" during w/d, I can tough it out. If the pills are suspect, I'll feed the GKS monster a little longer by buying their brand.

Today was discouraging, because I was thinking of reducing to 7.5 mgs next week. Now, I'm not sure I should.

The mood changes are to be expected when dropping your dose. It is my main withdrawal symptom Generic paxil works just the same as GSK's junk. I hear from 10mg down it becomes more difficult. Good luck.

Mark, wait until you are stabilized before dropping the dose. The time frame is not 2 weeks or 3 weeks, it is when 'you' feel stabilized and able to drop again. Take it slowly.
