Walking like very drunk

Hi there.

Just went for a little walk with my wife and dog. I barely couldn't walk. I walked like a very drunk person... or the feeling that I was on the deck of a ship. had to held myself to a lamppost and so forth. People of 80 years old walked better than myself. Sometimes I have good days, this day is bad.

Did anyone else walk this bad when withdrawing?

Paxil/Seroxat 20 mg 2001-2003 then switched to 50 mg Zoloft without any WD problems after the switch. Zoloft later increased to 75 mg.

2004 tapered Zoloft too quickly after sudden onset of muscle stiffness and extreme restlessness on full dose. Severe and prolonged WD problem with a long list of symptoms. Considerable mental but very little physical improvement so far. Last Zoloft dose April 18 2004.

Yes. That's common.

1993 - end of 2001: Zoloft (75 mg)
2002 - 2003 (total of 11 months): Prozac + Buspar (to deal with the Zoloft withdrawal)
Off all drugs for a year going through withdrawal with no letup in symptoms, so in 2004 I (regrettably) went back on Zoloft to try a slower taper.
11/19/05 - Finally off again.

I can relate to this one too guys, i been feeling a little spaced out for a while, like i'm swaying when walking. Also when i've just parked my car it feels like it's still moving from underneath me , anyone had that?

It's all part of the withdrawal, it just hangs around us all different and for different periods of time..

Re: Walking like very drunk

Something that I remembered a while back is when I began Paxil I had double vision. Felt constantly cross-eyed, which really added to the stumbling drunk phase.

Re: Walking like very drunk

How fast are you tapering and at what dosage? I had the "drunk walk" and extreme dizziness when I tried to "cold turkey" years ago.
