Legal action

I have been contacted by Baum Hedlund that they are accepting selected ssri suidice and attempted suicide cases. I don't believe that they are taking withdrawal cases, unless suicide or attempted suicide is involved.

Re: Legal action

Thanks for sharing Laurie! Is that for USA citizens only?

I felt driven to overdose numerous times while on Celexa and landed up in the hospital a few times on account of that. Got to admit that there were a few emotional issues going on during that time but similar issues prior to taking that drug and all the others, never got me to THAT level, or even THINKING about suicide.

Re: Legal action

I know someone who would definitely qualify but he is so PTSD'd from the experience he doesn't even want to go there. I'll mention it to him again.

Put on Paxil in 1996 for Post-partum depression. After 5th withdrawal attempt, went into severe debilitating withdrawal, restarted Paxil in the ER which didn't work anymore. Taken off again quickly by a shrink, started on Lexapro. Body rejected all drugs except benzos. Currently off all drugs. Not quite 100% yet, but working towards getting there.

Re: Legal action

This is the reply I got from Baum Hedlund:

Our law firm normally only takes drug product liability cases
which arise in the U.S.

Please feel free to call me, however, on or after January 3, 2006
at our Los Angeles office at 1-800-827-0087.

Sincerely,
Charles Judge

Re: Legal action

The list in the US is growing so maybe the list is growing elsewhere as well and they will at least be able to give you a name. Good luck!

Re: Legal action

Thank you Charlie! I'll give them a call after the New Year and see what's up.

Sure wished I'd been living in the USA now as it's so difficult to do anything similar here, IF I wanted to do something about it.

Re: Legal action

Hi everyone, i'm new to the paxil progress and sure am glad i found you guys My husband is and has been on paxil now for the past 5 years, he's tried numerious times to quit and like everyone else, has had no success!! He started out on 50mg per day, then spoke with his doctor about "tapering" off the drug, he went to 30mg per day and he suffered terribly but made it through (but still suffers from sever night sweats, sleeplessness, when he is able to sleep he suffers most times with vivid "weird and wicked" dreams as he calls them, the "zaps" as well as whole list of other things) Now he's down to 10mg a day and is constantly tired (feels as though he's not even slept), easily aggrivated and irritable, suffers at times from dizzy spells and now here recently has a Fatty Liver problem that he never had before in his life, was always active, never was over weight. I was reading some of the posts here about some lawyers that are taking these cases for patients but what i would really like to know is this...Does anyone know if there are any lawyers or law firms in West Virginia taking on these cases as well?? Any help anyone can give me would be MORE than greatly appreciated!!!!!!! Thank You for being here and for allowing me to post and be apart of something wonderful..you all helping each other Again I thank you!!
