Lets protest paxil to the FDA.

Since Paxil has caused us much misery and the FDA stands behind it and approves of it complain to them lets deal them a bit of misery.

Hello and happy New Year to come FDA.

I wanted to comment and complain about a drug that is destroying peoples lives that you the FDA Approves of and it is all SSRI`s and the main one is Paxil.The doctors put innocent people on it not telling them the long term damage it can cause and the hellish withdrawls.It cause brain Zaps that can last for years and some even report suicide.I have gained over 60pounds since on it in the last 4 years and its has ruined sex lives.

It causes people on it to become emotionless.When one on paxil for some reason can`t afford his or her medication they can go into fits of rage and actually kill someone and their lives is ruined because in reality it is the paxil and the FDA to blame because the FDA stands behind the drug and its maker`s for profit off from the sales of the horrible good for nothing drug.

Do you people actually care for human life or is money and profit more important to you?

Its a proven fact that this drug paxil is dangerous and should be banned as all SSRI`s.Do something decent for once in the FDA and stop the drug.Sooner or later someone there will be held accountable.

Steve, there are going to be hearings on the suicidality in adults in the near future. Believe me, the FDA knows exactly what is going on with paxil. I will be going to those hearings, when ever they occur.

Steven wm I would encourage you and everyone here that can to also be looking to attend the Paxil Protest in the spring. I also hope to attend the hearings unless the two happen at the same time.

The really sad part is that all SSRI's have the same potential to do harm. Paxil has more withdrawal issues but the suicide, homicide and everything else is across the board. Scotty, I had NO DOUBT that you would be in Philly. You mess with me that's one thing but you mess with the people I love and I'll never forget.

Consumers reports has a division called Consumers Union, Consumers Union has a on going campaign to change the FDA and how Drugs are approved thru prescription for change.. I sent a copy of their letter to my congress person and did receive a reply from both my Rep and Congresswoman. www.prescriptionforchange.com . I want to ***** and moan too!

I would like to attend the protest as well, but I don't know if I can. I teach school, so finding the time off will not be easy. I am so angry right now, because even though it may not be the case, I feel like paxil played a part in wiping out my marriage and ruining my family. Can someone give me some sites where I can write to be a voice in getting this stuff banned? Also, are there any form letters?

What hearings are you all talking about, and where are they being held?

The hearings will be held at the FDA but a time has not been set to address the adult suicide issue. I think the FDA is also still accepting letters regarding their hazzard communication. I believe I posted a link to the online submission site here somewhere. I'll see what I can find.

Debbie __________________ Antidepressants since 1997 Zoloft, Serzone, Paxil for 7 years, Effexor for 9 months of that Welburtin & Lexapro mixed in too. Paxil 30mgs July 8 till Aug 6th, 15mgs Aug 7 till Sept 14, 10mgs sept 15 till Nov 14, 5mgs (Oct sinus infection 10 days antibiotics), Nov 15 thru Now, 2.5mgs (Dec sinsus infection 20 days antibiotics) Last Paxil 1/10/06** (Feb Bronchitis & URI 7 days antibiotics and Inhalers) (March Severe Sinus infection 5 weeks antibiotics & diflucan)
