Taper Question -- Zoloft

I am a seasoned "pro" at Paxil and Benzo tapers, but I am considering tapering down on Zoloft VERY slowly from 100mgs. I have been on it for 14 months. Because Zoloft and Paxil are different, does anyone have a suggestion on Zoloft increments and time between drops?

I don't know much about Zoloft, but as far as I am concerned an antidepresant is an antidepressant.....

Slow is always better, I would follow the same for any of the medication. Nothing is written in stone, listen to your body, small cuts and stabilize is the way to go.

Re: Taper Question -- Zoloft

Sage,
When Vic was tapering from Zoloft, he did it in 25mg increments - mostly because we couldn't cut the 100mg tablets any smaller (he was taking 200mg/day). He waited about 2 weeks between cuts. When he was down to 100mg he went cold turkey which was not smart and hell on everyone. But the 25mg cuts were doable: some zaps and a few snappish days. I think he got off lucky though. Let me know how it goes for you. Like Rita said: everyone is different and you have to listen to your body.
