Dizziness/nausea when close eyes

When I lay down and close my eyes I get this pain between my eyes and on the bridge of my nose, I then get dizzy and nauseous. The closer I get to going asleep the worse it gets. When I open my eyes again, the dizziness and nausea gets better and eventually goes away. When I am on my feet the symptoms go away, it is just when I close my eyes. This is keeping me from sleeping at night. A friend said it could be inner ear. The headache is not the "normal" band headache across the forehead, but between the eyes. Allergies, inner ear or just part of paxil withdraw..anyone have a clue?

Hi Chuck,

From a nurse's point of view, ya should really get that checked out. Any dizziness when you close your eyes coupled with nausea indicates "vertigo" and could be inner ear related but even in that case it needs to be checked out by a doctor. Better to be safe.

Probably withdrawal, but for peace of mind let a doc check it out.
