Write a letter to the editor of your local paper

I have written a letter to the Editor of several Colorado Newspapers about the horrors of Paxil and Paxil Withdrawal. I suggest you do the same! It may help many people think twice before taking this evil drug. I would not wish what I've experienced on my worst enemy!

That's a good idea. Let's just hope GSK doesn't buy ad space on those papers.

I hope GSK does buy ad space, and I want my letter right next to it!

The paper wouldn't print the letter in that case. They don't want to offeeeeeeeend their sponsor.

Perhaps this is beyond the scope of PP, but to help keep us on message, a, "What you should know about Paxil," document could be developed. It should contain 10 - 20 key facts / themes that we can use as a basic template to ensure consistency and accuracy in spreading the word. Corporations and governments use, "talking points," when it comes to communicating with the media, it would be nice if we had a similar resource.

Just in case they do not subscribe, I am e.mailing them a copy of my story (see forums).

Been off Paxil for about a month now. Yesterday, I felt better than I have in YEARS! It's scary! I ran around cleaning and dusting and mopping, etc. I am taking Sam-e, Calcium-magnesium-zinc, Omega 3 Fish Oil, and Vitamin K. Hang in there people!

Re: Write a letter to the editor of your local paper

Having some "experience" with letter writing, the best way to get your letter printed is to make sure there is an article in the specific newspaper regarding ssri's/GSK/warnings. Then tie your letter to that article and MAKE reference to the article. Papers don't print letters to the editor that aren't directly tied to a current article.
Another way to get information into the paper is to find out who is covering business health. Get to that reporter. Once you find out who it is, then you can become their source for firsthand use information.

I thought about SaM-e as a possibility in the future if need be. How does it work for you?

Hi I-H8-Paxil: I truly do feel that getting that Paxil Poison out of my system, together with Sam-e and calcium/magnesium/zink are helping me. With each passing day I feel better, more relaxed, and more at peace with myself.
