One Stupid Miligram
After feeling somewhat stabilized at 20mg for a couple months I justed dropped to 19mg on Sunday. Half of a 20, half of a 10, and 4 in liquid.
I kid you not...I'm nauseated, dizzy, gassy, zapping, feeling faint, I can't get to sleep at night, and my speech is starting to slur. ONE MILIGRAM! ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: One Stupid Miligram
I'm so sorry that you are dealing with this. It is so unfair that some people just quit without another thought and then you cannot go down a milligram without misery. It will pass. Hang in there!

Tara, you've had a rough road. If one is to much, then wean by .5. You can't go to slow.

Re: One Stupid Miligram
Oh, Tara, you poor dear. Maybe you'll have to do it in half milligrams like Laurie suggested. So sorry you're going through this.

Re: One Stupid Miligram
HALF???? I wonder if anybody else has had to do that? I guess I have the means since I have plenty of the nasty liquid stuff. But I think I'll stay at 19 for three weeks before I go to 18, instead of the normal two. I just can't believe so little can make such a difference. Just like when I got the whole body rash after switching from Paxil to Paxil CR. You really wouldn't think there'd be such a massive difference! Sheesh. NONE OF US ASKED FOR THIS CRAP.

Re: One Stupid Miligram
Sorry it is so difficult for you Tara. It always puzzles me how some people have such a horrible time of it and others not. Go slower, who cares how small the amount, the point is you are working towards your goal.

Re: One Stupid Miligram
Not trying to insult your intel. but really make sure to remember that 1 mL of the liquid stuff is equal to 2 mg of Paxil. Just a reminder.

Re: One Stupid Miligram
Yeah the liquid I'm taking is 4mg = 2ml in the stupid dropper thing. My routine involves the measuring syringe & a shot glass. Maybe I should mix it with somthing else besides water, huh?

Re: One Stupid Miligram
Nothing wrong with dropping 0.5mg. I had to do it and it was much easier. Sometimes dropping too much was a good thing because it reminded me I needed to take it slower.
I did the oral syringe thing shooting the stuff to the back of my throat and following with water.

Re: One Stupid Miligram
I'm so sorry that you are suffering so much Tara. I have to go very slow also.
I drop by 2.5mg and stabilize for at least 2 months. My last drop was 3 months. Maybe you are not waiting long enough to reduce your dose. I hope you feel better soon and I wish you good luck. eileen

Re: One Stupid Miligram
Yeah Eileen I think you're right. I set aside two to three years to do this and I've already gotten rid of 6mg since January. So I'll go slower. I figure I'll need the most time below 10mg, though. That's where the bad shakes/jitters start for me.
