Never heard ANY therapist, psychiatrist or MD say the words "dangers of SSRIs". THey are all so totally in love with pharmaceuticals that it seems like blasphemy to them to even suggest that there may be drugs being prescribed that actually do more harm than good. The mindset is going to have to come from a third party watchdog group, because the FDA is not doing its job!

They can't publicly admit to anything because they could be sued by any of their patients that they put through this hell. Dr. Healy comes to mind. He spoke out, had been offered a job and then had the offer withdrawn because of his stance.

I believe he later won a lawsuit because the offer was withdrawn due tp pharma influence. He has continued to be a pain in their *** and I don't see that winding down any time soon.

Had he gotten the job in Toronto the U S Pharmaceutical industry could have found it to be more difficult to play out their fantasies. Much closer might have meant more U S press.

Dr. Healy, Peter Breggin, M.D., and Dr. Glenmullen have all spoken out publicly about the dangers of these drugs. I do remember one shrink in town telling me that these guys were considered to be not very reputable in the psychiatric community. So there you go.

Put on Paxil in 1996 for Post-partum depression. After 5th withdrawal attempt, went into severe debilitating withdrawal, restarted Paxil in the ER which didn't work anymore. Taken off again quickly by a shrink, started on Lexapro. Body rejected all drugs except benzos. Currently off all drugs. Not quite 100% yet, but working towards getting there.

Isn't it interesting that these "pariahs" of psychiatry for years presented information that is now confirmed everyday with FDA and GSK warnings???

I'm sure psychiatry did have a problem with them, it's not every day that you find someone in the psychiatric community that knows anything of value let alone someone that has the spunk to go against the grain.
