While it is nice to see more info going up and acknowledging withdrawal, I don't agree with the advice given from posters at this this link. Some are recommending spacing med doses from a day to 36 hours etc., others saying remeron helps the withdrawal.

Both of these recommendations have been proven to be deadly for some.

Hmmmm......I don't agree with that advice either. It makes me wonder....I don't think anyone here, who's gone through w/d, would agree with those posts.

This is what happened to a long standing member here, they put her on remeron to cover effexor withdrawal.... down hill from there.

What is really scary is the thought that someone who knows nothing reaches a message forum like that and takes the advice given.

Funny you bring that up, Rita. I was on a site that recommended dropping in 5 mg. drops each month. Well, I did good till I got to 10. I found PP a little too late after that.

Yes, he had taken it. I took it also a long time ago (about 5 years), another mask to put on the paxil face. I'm so glad it was something I stopped and didn't suffer too much from.

Shane has been on a number of these meds, but the latest is celexa with seroquel.

Another member here was recently given doses of remeron to relieve effexor withdrawal, ended up being a total mess.
