I have noticed more arousal
 Has anyone else felt a change?

Withdrawling now PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!! Ok, this is my PLANNED withdrawl, might not go this smoothly, as I have found out  Aug. 8th from 20mg to 15mg (feeling good, now that I take fishy oil!!)  Sept. 12th from 15mg to 10mg  Oct.13th from 10mg to 5mg Nov.13 th PAXIL FREE  Hanging in there

95' - started paxil, 20 mgs; up to 30. two ct's, then 60 mgs for years. 40 mgs in '02, poop-out in '05 start taper= 5/8/06 at 20 = 6/17/06 at 15 = 8/8/06 at 10 = 10/15/06 at 5 = 12/14/06 Paxil free as of 3/8/08 (drops were done gradually - not from 20 to 15 and so on) Smoke-free as of 2/27/08 Still doing well, no smoking yet and I haven't been hospitalized - 10/2/09 "You, however, smear me with lies; you are worthless physicians, all of you!" I felt this during the first weeks after the initial ridiculously big dose reduction before my horrible physical withdrawal chaos started. It wasnīt just normal sexual arousal, it was much more than that. Found myself lusting after just about every reasonably attractive man I saw, lol.

AD history: Celexa 20 mg 1997-98. Quit CT, no WD problems. Paxil/Seroxat 20 mg 2001-2003 then switched to 50 mg Zoloft without any WD problems after the switch. Zoloft later increased to 75 mg. 2004 tapered Zoloft too quickly after sudden onset of muscle stiffness and extreme restlessness on full dose. Severe and prolonged WD problem with a long list of symptoms. Considerable mental but very little physical improvement so far. Last Zoloft dose April 18 2004. |

What's wrong with me then!
I'm the complete opposite. On Celexa I was almost uncontrollably sexual. Well, I guess I was uncontrollable in all aspects of my psyche. But damn, my sex drive has yet to come back like it was. 14 months off, do you think I fried my sex drive by going cold turkey? Actually, I think that because Celexa was a stimulant for me, and I behaved like a cokehead on it, that my sex drive was unnaturally high. |

There are some who become hypersexual on these drugs. Others here have mentioned that.

Velvet, donīt worry, it will come back but it can take a long time. I only had this hypersexuality for a couple of weeks but when the real withdrawal horrors started I got too sick to even think about it and I had no sexual feelings whatsoever for more than two years but they seem to be coming back now. This will most likely happen to you as well.
