Exhaustion, Body Aches, Swollen Glands....

Thank goodness you guys are here for me to talk to!

I went down from Prozac from 25 mg to 22.5 mg at the beginning of October....only mentioning this in case it has anything to do with what follows!

The first week or so was great - I assume I can talk about this here (??) but let's just say that my "sexual urge" was at its best, with incredible mind-blowing "releases" (how's that for wording it....)

Now for the past week, I feel like crap. I am exhausted beyond belief, can't seem to get enough sleep, swollen gland in my neck - I feel like I have the flu! I would think it WAS the flu, if my son and/or husband had any signs of it also.....but they seem perfectly fine! And no amount of Tylenol and/or Advil seems to help whatsoever....???

Is this part of the withdrawal?????

BlueEyes,
w/d certainly causes flu like symptoms and i like you tried over the counter meds to relieve aches, pains and other symptoms to no avail. So, yes this is part of withdrawal. and as for the sexual side affect I would also say yes this is w/d.

Is there anything I can take to alleviate these flu-like symptoms? Obviously, I'd like to take something natural.....

....this absolutely sucks....

Blue Eyes, I think rest is the best thing you can do right now. Drink plenty of liquids and be very kind to yourself. Good Luck on your journey.

BlueEyes, Eileen and Ginger are right. I get these flu-like symptoms when I am very tired. Usually everday about 1:00. I take three advil and it helps with the joint pain. When I can, I lie down and rest. It definitely helps. Sometimes I am so sore I can't believe it. Mostly upper body. It is getting better.
