I just got a check in the mail from a Paxil Consumer Litigaton Fund. Apparently GSK overcharged people for Paxil. I submitted something online well over a year ago. I'd forgotten all about it. It's only $200 bucks but hey...

I think that I filled that thing out - but with my Paxil memory loss I honestly cant remember. I guess I will figure it out if I get a check too.

thank god i never paid for it but for everyone that did...... you deserve every penny back i thouight it was normal practise that if ya got sold faulty goods ya got ya money back? bout time gsk coughed up and maybe choke while they are at it,well done hope you treat yourself to something nice

I was on the drug for 12 years. Had insurance for the first year and a half and by the time I lost it I was already trapped and addicted like a heroin addict. Tried to get off or reduce so many times over those years but every time I got REAL REAL sick and each time scared the crap out of me and I feared missing doses. Anyway, never could get consistant insurance so I paid FULL price for years and years and just thought it was normal. It became like making rent or paying a bill for me and it was always first priority and on occasion I would be short on rent or a bill just because of my Paxil fix. So there you go.. Addiction? you tell me. Websters difines addiction as being involuntarily hooked on something. After the first year I NEVER wanted to be on it and tried numerous times to get off and that is a fact. At least with Heroin you get the high. And I have been in physical withdrawal for over 2 years now.. Heroin generally takes a period of only DAYS or weeks to flush from your system and for the physical withdrawals to subside. Herioin ain't got NOTHIN on paxil.

Most addiction counselors will admit that they would rather get someone off of Heroin, than Paxil. Says alot!!

(Doctor Baker, Little House on the Prairie). Put on Paxil in 1996 for Post-partum depression. After 5th withdrawal attempt, went into severe debilitating withdrawal, restarted Paxil in the ER which didn't work anymore. Taken off again quickly by a shrink, started on Lexapro. Body rejected all drugs except benzos. Currently off all drugs. Not quite 100% yet, but working towards getting there.
