Avelox can make your heart race like crazy. Not good for someone with anxiety.

Re: 28 months,,what now-----

Your symptoms, the very stiff neck and dizziness could possibly be helped by a chiropractor. If you have some subluxations in your neck, it could cause these symptoms. Withdrawal from paxil can cause this because it can throw the homeostasis of the body out a bit. I hope you feel better soon!

Re: 28 months,,what now-----

Dave, the fact that you had a good few months shows that it's not permanent. What were you doing different for those months?

Re: 28 months,,what now-----

Dave, none of this is permanent and you'd be hard pressed to get any kind of disability from w/d anyway. Hell, it took my cousin 3 years to get approved, and he's had several strokes, heart disease, and excissive high blood pressure!

First and foremost, you need to relax. You may very well have a virus that caused your glands to swell. It's very important for us to remember, every time we're sick or feel off, it's not necessarily from the Paxil. It's most important that you not panic and obsess about it.

If you keep having this ear problem, you may very well have a chronic sinus problem, which will cause dizzyness, blurred vision and swollen glands. If that's the case, that will just come and go at will.

Re: 28 months,,what now-----

I agree with chiropractic treatment for stiff neck and shoulders.

I had this symptom throughout discontinuation and finally went to a chiropractor a few months ago with aching arms and stiff neck. He's helped me a lot.

dave, I believe continuing symptoms aren't brain damage per se, it's something called dysautonomia, dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system caused by hormonal imbalances.

Dysautonomia can come and go, but the body tends to want to be balanced so it can gradually improve. I've found acupuncture to help a lot.

If you have swollen glands, you might have an infection. You should inform the doctor you saw that you have had a bad reaction to that medication. Perhaps see another doctor?

Re: 28 months,,what now-----

Dave, swollen glands sound like an infection to me..and hello, you did a lot of physical work lately, which might explain the tight neck...heck, I'd be sore all over!

Relax and get the swollen glands checked out with a blood test...you could have a virus....
