Sam Elliott

I am going to be in the same town as Sam Elliott tomorrow !!! He is going to be in OKC at the National Cowboy Museum for an induction ceremony for another actor. I have to go to OKC tomorrow to see my lawyers - just take a wild, hairy guess were I will be hanging out the rest of the time. Oh - and my boss is going to the dinner so I told him to try to get me a picture, or an autograph, or even better .... a phone number.

(Gasps) humina humina Right off the top of my head I'm thinking of "Mask" with Cher and "Roadhouse" with Patrick Swayze. Older cowboy type with a voice that can melt butter.

He was also in a movie "Off the Map" where he plays an extremely depressed man whose wife wants to get him to take anti-depressants. Pretty good movie.

It is good, and his portrayal of the depressed man is excellent. Sadly, at the end of the movie, his character "recovers" after his best friend gets him on ADs.

Focus your attention on the here and now. Recognize it for what it is: the one moment of the only life you will ever have that you truly possess. Rare is the individual who has come to completely accept that the past is no more than a memory and the future an assumption about unborn events.

Re: Sam Elliott

I make my husband shut up everytime the "Beef - it's what's for dinner" commercial comes on. I normally don't eat beef but I would eat it off of a dead cow if Sam fed it to me - lol.

Oh - he played Virgil Earp in Tombstone not Morgan. Morgan was played by Bill Paxton. Anybody ever seen Conagher? best romantic western EVER !!!
