Anyone know if liquid paxil is available in Canada?

Yes, you can. I don't think it's as easy as it is to get here, but you can get it. Talk to your doctor about it.

i tried to get it last Novemeber..near the end of my taper..but it was not availalbe here..at least not in Vancouver..and i called all the pharmacies..ect..and my doctor even tried...but we could not find it!!

Liquid Paxil and Compounded Paxil (pre-made tablets to your specs. ie: 8.1mg, 7.3mg) are available at Northmount Pharmacy in North Vancouver, BC.

I don't know your location ppd, but there is also a compounding pharmacy in Toronto.

PPD...a quick google brought up Glebe Apothecary as a compounding pharmacy. These pharmacies can make capsules which contain very specific doses of paxil. Great for weaning Paxil slowly.

FANTASTIC! I know exactly where that is. You guys are ABSOLUTELY the best as I prep my "war chest". Still not sure I want to go to 'war' yet though...

I used to live in North Van. "Northmount", sounds snooty, probably in west vancouver (the rich part).
Scotty, I know exactly what you mean by when I'M ready. I wouldn't have known the last two withdrawls but I know now (the HARD) way. As you can see I'm getting my "war chest" ready and I know that time is one thing anxiety and depression can't take away from me...

i know you already found a place, but just wanted to say that i live in canada and had problems getting it too! i INSISTED to my dr that i wanted a liquid version, as i had read on this site that it's the best way to go

(and it is!) they were able to toss it into a liquid concoction, but said i was first one in the city on it ;x

I found my compounding pharmacy in New Brunswick. They crush it, premeasured and put it in capsules.
I'm thinking now that my withdrawal went much better when I was taking my multi-viatmin and evening primrose. I'm going back to it again.

I don't understand why it's so difficult to get it over there

... on te other hand we dont have compounding pharmacies

Celexa, c/t'd off, started acupuncture, felt fine. 2006 Several kindling reactions to Celexa which I restarted for situational problems, followed by c/t and then a reaction to Zyprexa. Akathisia, severe dissociation, etc... Put on Propranolol, Valium and Ativan for akathisia. May 2009-On 5mg Propranolol, and Valium, and tapering the latter. Sept 07/09- Trazodone 75mg. Started this journey of horror with AD's in 1994, Put on Paxil 30 mg in Feb/1995 I will survive!
