What time do you take your dose?

I was told by a doc to spread out my hubby's dose.
Now I've learned that splitting it up causes a roller coaster effect. (thx Kim)

So what time of day is preferable to take your paxil?

My hubby just switched to liquid & got a daydreamy head buzz taking it all at once in the AM, so we went back to taking it 3xs a day.

Now that I know it should all be at once - what is better b4 work or after?

I also read that it's stronger when taken w/food.
So should it be taken w/o food?

How do you take it?

I take mine at 9:00 p.m every day. As far as food goes, can't say I ever thought about it. I always make sure though, that I've eaten dinner that night. I think it can cause nausea if your stomach is completely empty.

I've always taken mine right after breakfast, as I'm almost always at home for that meal, while that's not necessarily true of lunch or dinner.

I always take mine in the evening, usually before bed if I can time it right. (Sometimes I work evenings so I have to take it earlier.)

I take mine at 7 AM then eat around 8:30 AM.

I take mine around 7:30 every morning - with a Dr. Pepper (the breakfast of champions).

Cindywho - those are the prettiest birds that I have ever seen !!! Just had to throw that in there.

I take mine at 5 - 5:30, and on an empty stomach. Then, a few minutes afterward, I either snack or eat dinner. I personally found that taking it after I eat makes me anxious! See, we're all so different!

I take mine at 9.30am every morning, after i have eaten something, if i take it on an empty stomach i bring it straight back up !

Thx so much for answering my tiny li'l ?.
It makes a big difference when the dr tells you erroneous info. Like to split your dose so it lasts longer. Kim taught me better. And since we've been spreading it out causing him more of a roller coaster effect as she put it, we really need to consolidate it into 1 dose I just wasn't sure what everyone else does or was told to do when it came to time of day.

I take mine before bed to sleep off the side effects and help with sleep.

Attempt to switch to lexapro initially successful, then worsened anxiety, so now back on 10 of paxil.

See, we're all so different! __________________ 95' - started paxil, 20 mgs; up to 30. two ct's, then 60 mgs for years. 40 mgs in '02, poop-out in '05 start taper= 5/8/06 at 20 = 6/17/06 at 15 = 8/8/06 at 10 = 10/15/06 at 5 = 12/14/06 Paxil free as of 3/8/08 (drops were done gradually - not from 20 to 15 and so on) Smoke-free as of 2/27/08 Still doing well, no smoking yet and I haven't been hospitalized - 10/2/09 "You, however, smear me with lies; you are worthless physicians, all of you!"
