my doctor

I called my doctor last night, because I had a crises for about 24 hours (my skin was burning, tahicardia, huge agitation, trembling...). I haven't called her for an year. I told her that I reduced Seroxat and, in may, I stopped it. I asked why I feel so bad and what can I do.
She told me that Seroxat is not addictive. It can cause some unpleasant symptoms in the first week after it's stopped. She considered that my pannick is back and that I should make an effort to get over it to avoid another treatment. She said "it seems that your pannick disorder is chronic ". Then, the conversation stopped because of her mobile phone (discharged maybe) and she hang up. She didn't call me back.
If I didn't find this forum before, now I could've believe her and I could've take who knows what drugs. Maybe it's my pannick too, but the symptoms that I have now weren't before. I hate her

PS: sorry for my grammar

Re: my doctor

I wish more doctors knew about how bad it is to stop this med. I am trying to taper and I have horrible panic and anxiety...much worse than before I started the meds.

I read your drugs history and maybe somebody here should advise you how to wean. It seems that you don't have a good plan to wean.

Re: my doctor

I am currently evaluating that...I think I am going to go back to 10mg and stay on that for a while and take it from there. I am also trying to figure out how to wean from the wellbutrin. It will take a few more days I think until I figure it out. I've been getting lots of good advice from others here.

That's how you can know you're having withdrawal symptoms. I can't understand why so many doctors can't seem to grasp that.

Neko,

Panic and anxiety getting worse than it was previously is very common. Some people in this group have gotten those symptoms when they never had them before going into withdrawal!

Fortunately the severity lessens along with the other withdrawal symptoms.
