Need Help Again

Hi Everyone.....

Desperate once again. I weaned off paxil in three weeks and onto lexapro January 2006. Had a delayed w/d which was hell for about four months.

Stayed on 20 mgs. lexapro Feb 2006 to January 2007. Started to wean off lexapro (came onto website) and did the wean for Jan - Feb - March and in April had a huge meltdown and decided to go back onto 20 mgs. lexapro.

Felt better and now I am in a huge state of anxiety and depression for the last week. Raging morning anxiety which I have had for years. It was better on paxil though.

I am frightened to a point where suddenly dropping dead seems like a blessing. I am terrified of this type of anxiety. I am not married anymore and I have a daughter, a home, a mortgage, etc. I am grateful to have a job so that I can get up and out.

I am redoing Lucinda Bassett's program. Seeing a therapist, going to see a therapist on Monday that does EMDR.

A few people here have told me about poop out, and the possibllity that I could still be feeling the effects of paxil so the lexapro is not working.
I realize now that the lexapro is not helping at all.

I need a cyber hug and some help please.

This is such a difficult situation to be in. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Unfortunatley, I don't know much about Lexapro, but someone who does, will be chiming in soon.

From what I understand this is identical to what happened to Amaya's nana. The lex made her feel much worse.

This is so interesting to read.
This is the drug I was considering going on...plus the one they wanted my Mum just to swap to over night.

My best wishes to you. __________________ Anti-deps since summer 1990. 12 years of Paxil....Quick taper from Aug-Nov 2006. (Not recommended). I struggle if I'm being honest. Still small benzo dosage to tackle. July'09 From 2.5mg- @ 2mg ( hot) now @1.75mg just horrid! After nearly 3 years free....August '09 on 20mg Prozac... VERY disappointed! 'Sometimes you have to be lost to understand yourself!'

From 15mg-0 May/June 06 (before finding PP) Protracted w/d from c/t. First 10 mths up and down but tolerable. Akathesia hit at 11 months. Many months of terrible mental and physical torture. 3/09 started Prozac but too stimulating. Currently on 15mg Lexapro and feeling so much better. Not all who waunder are lost.
