Pain in spine?

I'm wondering if anybody has ever had pain in their spine during withdrawal?
This is happening to me around the waist level and before I go in to see my doctor, I wanted to check. I don't want to have any more X-Rays or CT scans than are necessary?

Re: Pain in spine?

My lower back ached constantly during w/d last year. I don't know about it bing in the spine, per se, but I thought that may help with your question.

Re: Pain in spine?

Did ya'll see in the News section an article Tybr61 posted about bone loss in SSRI takers?? They've recently discovered serotonin receptors in bones. No wonder our bones and joints ache in withdrawal like we're 90 years old!!! Eileen, I truly believe its withdrawal related. I hate Paxhell!!!!!

Focus your attention on the here and now. Recognize it for what it is: the one moment of the only life you will ever have that you truly possess. Rare is the individual who has come to completely accept that the past is no more than a memory and the future an assumption about unborn events.

My lower back was paining for a couple of days before the spine started paining. It's almost like zaps and I'm trying to work at my computer and I yell.
The jerking is really bad for me again. I think I'm going to drop another half mg again tomorrow.
It seems like when I'm sick, no jerking, sickness goes away, jerking starts up.
Thanks Laurie, it's nice to get an answer. Hugs!

Thanks for telling me that Lisa, I didn't see it. I think it's WD also and my hip joint is paining like hell. Then it's just like zaps and if I take Advil, it makes the jerking worse. Thanks for the post. It makes me feel better when somebody confirms my suspicious. My God how would one ever get through this without their friends in PP.

Re: Pain in spine?

Yes this can happen..including sciatica. Usually if you have had past issues with your body, these will "flare up" during withdrawal.

Thanks Johnny, I was in a bad car accident and have spinal injuries up high and arthritis around the injuries. I'm trying not to take any more medication and I'm feeling better now, after a hot bath.
