Dizziness while sitting down

Anyone experienced dizziness whilst sitting in a chair just watching tv .I had this tonight all of a sudden something in my head or my whole body ( was hard to tell) kinda moved like a heavy weigh shifted and made me feel dizzy. Sorry if this is weird but it is hard to explain.

Re: Dizziness while sitting down

I had something like this one day a few weeks back, I thought maybe I had some kind of inner ear infection, but I think it must have been a withdrawal symptom. I was even dizzy when lying down.

Yep. recognise this one with the heavy weight shifting. Got it from time to time. Feels like someone´s suddenly poured cement into one half or sometimes a smaller part of your body. it is like an alien moving around inside you.

Re: Dizziness while sitting down

Yup..absolutely normal part of withdrawal.... even months down the road it comes back along with other symptoms..enough to "freak you out".

SSRi's are notorious for this and even after being free of them for a long time the dizziness returns. Because the dizziness is hard to describe its called "uncommon dizziness"

Try to not let it freak you out..if it persists m try Dong Quai..its the only thing thats worked for me.

Regards, Johnny

Re: Dizziness while sitting down

I am 13 months off and the dizziness hit last month on my 12th month. It's like it comes in quick, short waves. It usually happens when I am watching TV or while I am working on the computer. I will be fine, then all of a sudden there will be this wave of dizziness and it disappears as quickly as it comes on. It even happens when I lie down. Some days it is worse than others...some days it is not even noticeable. Today it is very noticeable and it is really annoying. It did not start until late this afternoon. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.....hope it passes soon!

Re: Dizziness while sitting down

Chalk it up to another lovely Paxil symptom. I used to get soooooooo dizzy when I would stand up from sitting or from lying down. It has actually gotten better and I think that yours will to.
