Rimantadine-Flumadine Information ?

I went to the DR because since last friday, ( today is Tuesday ) I have had fever during the nights, severe joint pain, ( all joins ), an itchy throat that makes me cough a lot and general malaice.

Note: No nose drope, or cold like syntoms.

He gave a prescription for one month of Flumadine; one capsule every 12 hours.

Also gave me vitamin b complex, and asked for 3 test:

General urine test.
Urocultive.
Fever reaction test; maybe widal test but he did not called like this way in the prescription , just fever reaction test, and is a blood test, and he did mention something about sallmonela.

My question is about the Rimantadine-Flumadine , my mother was prescribed that for a cold and felt down and slughish and she doestnt have depression , only she is 90 years old!!!
And I have read this mediacation causess nervousness , insomnia, and some neurological problems.

I am AD free for a year, but very sensitive still, and with this desease I fill very bad.

I was taking and antibiotic Keflex, but the Dr told me to stop it.

rimantadine is an antiviral. It is used to decrease the symptoms caused by the flu. It should NOT be used for a common cold. Tons of potential side effects for treating a situation that will resolve on it's own with time.

Jan-May2006 Remeron15-22.5mg. June2006 Remeron Free August2006 Spiral down to worse depression , RLS, anxiety(Did use some Cipro). Sept2006Back on Remeron15-22.5 mg, Oct2006cold turkey Remeron.WD. Benzodiazepines slowy geting off them. Oct2007. 90% cured with Electrotherapy.Kinesiology. Nov 2008 95 % cured. Traveling everywhere. June 2009 Family Problems, Anxiety Sept 2009 A lot better, traveling again.
